Copyright and takedown requests
New Games Today is a directory. We host no game files and stream nothing: every listing describes a game that lives on the developer's own itch.io page and links straight to it.
What a listing contains
A listing holds the game's title and developer name, the facts the developer published on itch.io (genre, tags, controls, session length), a cover image loaded from itch.io, a short write-up written from those facts with the help of an AI model, and a link to the original page. Nothing is re-uploaded and no game is copied.
Ask us to correct or remove a listing
Send the itch.io link through the Suggest a Game form and say in the note what should change or that you want the listing removed. That form is the site's only inbound channel: there is no email address or mailbox on this domain, so a takedown request sent to an invented address will not arrive.
We read every message by hand. A removal request from a developer or a rights holder is acted on, and the listing and its write-up are taken down rather than edited around the objection.
Formal copyright notice
This site does not designate a registered DMCA agent, so nothing here should be read as an agent designation under 17 U.S.C. § 512. If you need a formal notice, put it in the same form and include:
- the work you own and the URL on this site that you say infringes it;
- your name and a way to reply to you (an email address is fine, it is only used to answer you);
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised;
- a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them;
- your electronic signature (typing your name is enough).
If your game was removed and you think that was wrong
Send the same itch.io link with a note explaining why the listing should go back up. We will look at it again.
Games that disappear on their own
Developers edit and delete itch.io pages all the time. When a game page goes away, the listing no longer has anything to point at; tell us and we will remove it.
