Introduction

Hanzi Merge, from developer sam9987, turns Chinese character building into a calm puzzle. Each character is assembled from smaller components: tap two pieces and they combine into a single hanzi. For example, the piece for woman and the piece for horse join to make the character for mom. Every character created opens a card showing how it sounds, what it means, and the story behind its construction, so understanding grows alongside the puzzle. No prior Chinese is required to begin. The game spans 55 levels across four stages, moving from individual characters to chains, words, and sentences. Each level ends with a short quiz, and characters missed there return for another look. Beyond the main path there is a challenge mode with a countdown and a tighter move budget, a daily puzzle with a daily leaderboard, an endless mode, and My Words, a personal collection of everything learned. It is free to play, and an optional tip supports continued level development. Character data is based on Make Me a Hanzi (LGPL).
